following the devastating flash floods of 26 August, many families in Nepal have lost everything. Massive floodwaters destroyed homes, roads and critical infrastructure. Hundreds of people have died, and many more are still missing. Countless families have lost their homes, possessions and livelihoods.
In the districts of Rasuwa and Nuwakot, people are now lacking the most basic necessities: clean drinking water, food, hygiene items and safe places to sleep. There is also a growing risk of disease outbreaks caused by contaminated water.
Rapid aid for affected families
Thanks to our long-standing partnership with the local organisation RSDC, we are able to respond quickly. Together, we will provide around 900 people in Nuwakot District with hygiene supplies, water purification tablets and food packages.
