Dear friends and companions of Malteser International,
today, we at Malteser International would like to wish you a happy year 2024 and say THANK YOU. 2023 was an extreme year. But amidst the countless shocking news of crises around the globe, your support, your trust in our work and your compassion and commitment for people in need were our gleam of hope at all times. We have faith that we can also count on you this year, and that means a lot to us.

| We have big plans for the coming year. Among them:- We want to make our global network even better in order to provide aid quickly and where it is most needed.
- We want to contribute to the relief and prevention of hardship by supporting programs that promote equality, education and health, and that work towards creating jobs and improving livelihoods.
- We will fight against the effects of climate change for vulnerable communities, e.g. with reforestation, plastic recycling and beekeeping projects.
- We want to listen even more closely to what people in need actually need – and then improve their situation jointly and with lasting effect.

|
| In our project countries around the world, our colleagues and partner organizations will give comprehensive medical care and thereby save and lighten uncounted lives. They will build emergency accomodations, distribute food and relief packages, install wells and toilets, create safe spaces for victims of violence, give psycho-social support, build and strengthen fair, long-lasting partnerships with local organizations, undertake trainings and workshops. They will help thousands of babys to be born strong and healthy. They will work tirelessly towards our goal: Health and dignity for people in need.
And what are your plans for 2024?

|
| Thank you for your support for people in need! I wish you a fulfilling year 2024.
Yours sincerely
