Dear Friends,

On a fateful August morning in 2017, Rajuma fled what remained of her torched village in Myanmar's Rakhine State. She narrowly escaped death after her family was killed in targeted attacks that drove hundreds of thousands of ethnic Rohingya into exile in Bangladesh.

Two years on, Malteser International is still delivering aid to the refugees, and through the support of kind-hearted people like you, we are saving lives. But with the plight of the Rohingya fading from global headlines, your support is needed now more than ever.
So please, help us ensure one of the world's most persecuted minorities rebuild their lives in dignity.

Thank you for your ongoing support for our mission and enjoy reading this month's newsletter, with views from our staff and latest developments in the countries where we work.

Yours truly,

Ingo Radtke

Two years after the Rohingya crisis:
Help is still needed

August 25, 2017 marked the onset of the Rohingya refugee emergency, when brutal violence in Myanmar forced over 700,000 ethnic Rohingya to flee to Bangladesh. Today, there are just under a million refugees still housed in overcrowded camps in Cox’s Bazar and living in precarious conditions.

Malteser International continues to provide healthcare, healthy nutrition and psychosocial support. We urgently need your help to support our response to this crisis and make sure the most vulnerable people are protected.

See how you can help:

      Donate for Bangladesh

Your donation of €25 can provide urgent nutritional care for one malnourished child.

€40 can provide
psychosocial support for traumatized persons.

€100 can help to cover the cost of a doctor's medical equipment.
