As we celebrate Easter, the greatest of all our Christian feasts, I have a great sense of gratitude for all that our Lord has done. Surrounded by the signs of spring, I am reminded of the new life and beginnings Christ offers us through his resurrection. It is this hope that inspires and sustains our mission to serve those in need across the world.

Your donations have provided emergency relief to communities in Myanmar affected by the recent catastrophic earthquake. Together with you, we are providing vital assistance and protection to people fleeing violence in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and neighboring Uganda. In Syria, where cautious hope is emerging after years of conflict, your support is helping families to rebuild their lives. In Ukraine, devastating attacks in recent days and weeks have once again caused shock and pain to the people. Now in the fourth year of war, every euro for our projects in Ukraine is also a sign of solidarity for those exhausted by the war: We remain by your side!
Together with you, in the spirit of Easter, we wish to provide a spark of new hope for people in need.

On 28 of March 2025, a powerful earthquake struck Myanmar, causing widespread destruction. Thousands of people are living in makeshift shelters without access to clean water or basic sanitation. They are in dire need of assistance. During this difficult time, we stand by their side. Together with local partners, our teams are providing urgently needed aid in the heavily affected regions of Mandalay, Naypyidaw, and the southern Shan State. |

In Ukraine, our “Mobile Playgrounds” project offers children a safe space to express what words cannot. Through art, crafts, and sensory activities, they explore their emotions, develop creativity, and find moments of joy despite difficult circumstances. During a recent visit to a school, children created spring flowers, symbols of warmth and hope even on the greyest days. These workshops help them feel supported, build confidence, and believe in their own strength. |
