Dear Friends,

Despite minor complications, Uliza Monique delivered a healthy baby girl in one of our health stations in DR Congo. She named her Cadeau; the child was indeed a gift.

Sadly, the joy of motherhood is engulfed by tragedy for many women around the world; every day hundreds needlessly die during childbirth. In almost every case, basic healthcare could have been lifesaving.

In DR Congo, such services are few and far between and we are providing lifesaving maternal care services for expectant women in need. Now through Mother's Day, you can help us continue the crucial work and save the lives of vulnerable mothers and children.

Whether it’s a mother, grandmother, stepmother, godmother or any woman who’s made a difference in your life, make a donation in her honor!

With heartfelt thanks,

Ingo Radtke

Vietnam: Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction

Vietnam is one of the world's most vulnerable countries in the face of natural disasters. The Vietnam War also had severe after-effects for the country. Physical disability affects a significant portion of the population. They are particularly vulnerable when disaster strikes and therefore, need to be directly involved in disaster preparedness plans.
