Dear Friends,
The recent developments in North East Syria have caused deep uncertainty and fear for many civilians living in the region. Hundreds of thousands of people, many of whom rely on aid for survival, have been forced to flee the military operations that began this month.
The latest hostilities are worsening an already dire humanitarian situation: 11.7 million people are in need of humanitarian assistance across Syria in a long-running war that has triggered the largest displacement crisis in the world. New waves of displacement will most likely put a strain on the overstretched resources in the refugee camps and further push humanitarian capacities to their limit.
Malteser International has been working through its partners on the ground, providing lifesaving healthcare services and meeting the most urgent needs of displaced persons. Your support so far has helped us protect their dignity. However, as the need for our vital work continues to grow, we cannot respond to the overwhelming needs without you.
Your support can make a difference to the most vulnerable families caught in this crisis.
