Dear Friends,
We welcomed the new decade with shock and sadness at the harrowing stories and images out of Australia. Unprecedented bushfires have razed over 10 million hectares, destroying more than 2,000 homes and forcing families to seek shelter elsewhere. At least 27 people and up to a billion animals have died. These images underscore the urgent need to tackle climate change and plan for its impact on people and communities.
Our friends at Order of Malta Australia are providing emergency relief to people affected. However, the devastating impact will not simply go away after the fires have gone out. Rehabilitation efforts will take months and years.
Families forced from their homes are facing a real fear for their lives and livelihoods.
Donate now to provide the support they need to cope and recover.

Australia is in the midst of its worst bushfire season on record. The Order of Malta Australia is providing relief to those directly impacted by the bushfires. $20,000 has already been distributed in funds and food vouchers to those who have lost homes in Batemans Bay, Moruya, Cobargo & Narooma, New South Wales.
Your donation will help rebuild other fire-ravaged communities and sustain them in the future.
